We always time our trips to the Outer Banks so that we hit the Flying Fish right around dinner time. It’s such a great way to start our week: friendly staff, great ambience, and , of course, the food! Wow!
We’re coming down in June and we’re looking forward to stopping in again. We’re just wondering what wonderful new things the new chef will have in store for us!

My one and only experience at the Flying Fish was last July. Since we returned home to WV, I’ve had you business card displayed on my dresser. This is an absolute testiment of how much we enjoyed the food and the overall experience. We’re returning to the Outer Banks in September this year and plan on making the Flying Fish our first dining experience of the week. I couldn’t think of a better way to start our vacation. Congratulations on achieving the perfect balance of outstanding cuisine and ambience.

My Wife and I usually make it down to the F.F.C. about three times a year, and have recommended your place to numerous other people! We have enjoyed EVERY meal we have ever had there.
We have discussed going down to Costa Rica a couple of times, and I guess as a Surprise to my Wife, I’d really like some more info on the place you have. Price, Passports, etc. Thanks in advance Jim G.
The Flying Fish Cafe is a must stop! Fabulous food, great service – but the best part is the attention you get from the moment you hit the door. My wife and I decided late to go out for her birthday – on a Friday night. They graciously “squeezed” us in and it was a wonderful dinner – the special appetizer of cream cheese and goat cheese (warm and melty) with smoked fish was incredible! We had such a great experience, we’ll be breaking our rule of a different restaurant during each trip. We’ll be back mid-week!
